Tom Dixon Thessaloniki

Imagine drinking your coffee from a small coffee grinder’s in Treviso, comfortably seating in a Tom Dixon Wingback chair, without leaving the very centre of Thessaloniki.

Tom Dixon Thessaloniki is the new arrival at Chrisostomou Smirnis Street, an experiential showroom of the Tom Dixon brand officially operated by 2nd floor SA.

The showroom, consisting of two levels, was designed in compliance with the british, luxury design brand’s visual identity.  A juxtaposition of raw and refined, of rough and polished, that seamlessly blend to create an extraordinary sensory result. The space itself offered some great architectural qualities: Zoellner ceilings and concrete elements, which were discovered during the creation of the showroom, restored, and highlighted. The floor was covered with self-leveling concrete and the walls were specially treated to reinforce this feeling of roughness. As far as color is concerned, the hues used on some of the walls, were the blue and pink of the Tom Dixon branding.

The space was furnished with Tom Dixon products, as well as custom-made furniture. The Tom Dixon furniture, lights and accessories, were carefully curated and placed by product family. More specifically, one of the first impressions for the visitor as they enter, is a ‘cloud’ of Mirrorball pendants floating above their heads.  The showroom features, among others, lights from the Spring series, a playful arrangement of Melt pendants, surface lights and chandelier, Cut surface lights and Copper Shade pendants. The majority of tables are from the Tube and the Screw collection with elegant marble tops, and the chairs are a compilation of the Fan, Slab, and Scoop collection. Regarding  the custom made furniture, such as the bar, the showcase of accessories, the benches, the staff locker and the exterior of the wc, they were made from galvanized steel and shaped like geometric solids.

The unique characteristic of Tom Dixon Thessaloniki, is that the visitor can fully experience the brand’s  aesthetic and design, as they enjoy their exceptional coffee, tea, drinks, or our signature cocktails in Tom Dixon Puck glasses. For us it is the details that matter, such as the pecan nuts dipped in espresso (from the local Exereton) that are offered to accompany the coffee. Last but not least, Tom Dixon Thessaloniki proudly presents its collaboration with Sugarela pastry shop (one should not miss the Tom Dixon carbon cookie with activated charcoal and fresh butter).
